PacketViper today announced validated sustained processing of more than 400 million packets per hour (approximately 110,000 packets per second) while performing full inline security enforcement — all on standard x86 commodity hardware.
During sustained load testing on a dual-Xeon 1U server with 10G networking, the system operated at roughly 20% average utilization, leaving approximately 80% performance headroom for burst traffic, policy growth, and expanded deployments.
Unlike architectures that separate monitoring from enforcement, PacketViper processes traffic inline — applying policy decisions, protocol validation, and active deception at wire speed without sacrificing throughput.
