PacketViper today released version 6.2.1, delivering a comprehensive set of security hardening improvements, bypass hardware fixes, and platform enhancements across the core product.
Security hardening in this release includes elimination of two authenticated remote code execution vulnerabilities in bypass and port speed configuration handlers, SSH password authentication disabled in favor of key-only authentication, PHP security hardening, and HSTS/CSP security header enforcement.
Platform improvements include real-time per-interface bandwidth and packet rate graphs, a user activity audit log showing login history and administrative actions, improved update reliability with synchronous install status reporting, and expanded bypass hardware support for multi-pair configurations.
The release also introduces install telemetry for fleet visibility and a bootstrap client for remote provisioning of PacketViper appliances without on-site access.
