Proven against AI-driven attacks. Aligned to the standards you answer to. And we carry the load on the grant.
Help me get my fundingFind cyber grants for your state
This free finder helps cities, counties, water and wastewater utilities, transportation agencies, and electric utilities and co-ops find federal and state cybersecurity grant programs by state and industry. Each listing links to the official program page and shows when it was last checked. PacketViper provides product information, budget figures, standards alignment and a letter of support; the applicant writes and submits the application.
We currently list SLCGP administering agencies for 47 states and territories, 4 federal programs, and state programs in Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Pick your state and what you run. We list the federal and state programs worth a look.
What the grant buys
Stop AI-speed attacks at first contact
Deception and moving target defense block an attacker at its first probe. In published tests, an autonomous AI attacker was stopped in four of four runs with zero data stolen.
Meet the standards
Aligned to NIST SP 800-82 for OT and the cyber decoy practices CISA now recommends. Gives you evidence for state cyber plans, audits and insurers.
Protect what residents depend on
Water and wastewater plants, traffic signals and message signs, and city facilities. Agentless, no tuning period, runs fully air-gapped.

It works. A Tennessee city funded a three-year traffic OT and SCADA protection project with PacketViper through the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program.
Cyber grant questions
Can SLCGP funds pay for OT/SCADA security?
It depends on your state. SLCGP money is passed through each state’s administering agency, and each state decides which projects it funds. Some states, such as Michigan, give priority to critical infrastructure including water and wastewater, energy and transportation. Check your state’s guidance, or ask its administrator, before planning an OT or SCADA project.
What cybersecurity grants are available for water and wastewater utilities?
Water and wastewater utilities can look at federal EPA drinking water resilience grants, state revolving fund financing that can pay for cybersecurity work, and state programs such as those New York and Massachusetts have run. Eligibility, system size limits and timing differ by program and state, so search the finder for your state and industry.
What grants can electric co-ops and municipal utilities use for cybersecurity?
Electric co-ops and municipal utilities can take part in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Rural and Municipal Utility Cybersecurity (RMUC) program, but the money goes to nonprofit partners that each work with at least six qualifying utilities, not to utilities directly. The nonprofits provide assessments, training, tool deployment and exercises. Some state programs also cover utility departments.
Can a vendor help with a grant application?
Yes, within limits. Under federal grant rules (2 CFR 200.319), a vendor that drafts the specifications or statement of work for a purchase cannot compete for it. A vendor can provide product information, budget figures, standards alignment and a letter of support. The applicant writes and submits the application and decides what to buy.
How do I find my state’s SLCGP administrator?
Use the finder on this page. Choose your state and any industry, and your state’s SLCGP administering agency appears with a link to its official page whenever we have a verified listing. Applications go through that agency, which sets its own windows and rules. If your state is not listed, contact its emergency management office or state IT agency.
What happens after I submit the form?
We reply within 2 business days to look at fit and what your program requires. You submit the application. We then provide the product information, budget figures and standards alignment you need to support it, with your grant support package following within 5 business days. We do not write applications, specifications or statements of work.
PacketViper does not write grant applications, specifications, or statements of work for the purchases we bid on. Federal grant rules (2 CFR 200.319) bar a vendor that drafts them from competing. Program details change; confirm with the administering agency. This page is not legal advice.
